We are a growing manufacturing company in Elgin, Illinois and part of a well-established German industrial group. Our facility specializes in precision metal stamping, deep drawing, assembly operations, and tooling for the automotive, aerosol packaging, and consumer goods industries.
The Quality Manager leads and continuously improves the Quality Management System (QMS), ensures compliance with ISO 9001, and plays a key role in implementing IATF 16949 to support our growing automotive business.
Your tasks
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949)
- Drive continuous improvement and quality performance initiatives
- Manage customer and supplier quality, including complaints, audits, and corrective actions
- Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and new product launches
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Tooling, and Maintenance to resolve quality issues
- Lead and develop the quality team
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience
- Experience in a quality leadership role
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
- Experience with PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand GD&T
- Automotive and/or metal stamping experience preferred
